The hidden gem Hamarøyskaftet is this summer's best tip. Do you want to get away from the crowds in Lofoten? Take the ferry from Svolvær over to Skutvik, and experience the beautiful nature on Hamarøy. The beautiful coastal landscape, with emerald green sea and grazing landscape is impossible not to be charmed by. Take your group of friends or the lady on a cozy mountain climb in peace and quiet from the crowds on the other side of the Vestfjord.

Hamarøyskaftet is 5 minutes from the ferry berth at Skutvik. We stroll a little half an hour up through the sparse birch forest before the climb starts. The climb itself is simple and follows shelving systems with a few small shots along the way. The view is fantastic and gives the climb an airy feel. On the way down we have to rappelling and demand that you have control of your nerves. Join one of our guides and we will deliver a great day for you in the mountains. After the trip, we like to stop by the Hamsun Center or one of the cozy cafes for a homemade piece of cake.

The trip can be combined over a long weekend with Stetind, Kugelhorn or Svolværgeita, which is located directly across the fjord. The easiest way to get here is by ferry from Svolvær, or by car from Narvik.

Equipment: We bring helmets, harness and whatever you may need. You need hiking boots or stiff sneakers. 30l sack is sufficient for food and a warm garment.
